Dieses Wochenende war ich mit dem Ocean Rodeo A-Series 2022 17m Tube kite mit 3 Struts unterwegs zwischen 4 bis 16Knoten. Dazu bin ich 2 Twintip Boards gefahren (Core Fusion5 139cm und Core Fusion5 Leichtwind 159cm )
Der Ausflug mit dem Ocean Rodeo Aluula Flite 17m war wieder einmal beeindruckend. Dieser Kite hat eine enorme Leichtwindperformace und ich konnte mit Twintip 159cm Board mit den Ridern mit Foilboard mitfahren auf dem Rangsdorfer See in Brandenburg bei Berlin. Die anderen Kiter mit traditionellen Dacron Kites und Twintip Boards konnten nur in stärkeren Windböen fahren währenddessen ich mit dem Flite Aluula Kite die ganze Zeit durchgekiten bin auch in den schwächeren Windphasen und Höhe fahren konnte. Man muss also bei Leichtwindbedingungen zwischen 6 und 10 Knoten kein Foil-Bord mehr nehmen und kann die geliebten Twintip Boards weiter fahren.
Der 17qm Flite Tube Kite ist sehr agil (eher wie 14qm) und durch seine Schmale Frontube geht er sehr dicht an den Windfensterrand, sodass man auch bei sehr wenig Wind (ca. 6Knoten) Höhe fahren kann mit größerem Twintip. Mit bis zu 9,5m hohen Sprüngen mit 5,1 Sekunden Hangtime konnte ich auch schöne Sprung-Landeloops (Heli Loops) machen :o) Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht mit den Rangsi-Foilboard-Kitern. :o)
Mit diesem Kite macht das Kiten auch in schwierigen böigen Windbedingungen im Binnenland richtig Spaß und mit dem Ocean Rodeo Flite Aluula habe ich endlich einen Tube Kite gefunden, welcher im Leichtwindbereich mit Kite Matten / Foils von Flysurfer z.b. Soul oder Sonic, Ozone z.b. Hyperlink und Gin z.b. Sprit mithalten kann und die Vorzüge eines Tubekites besitzt (easy handling, weniger Waageleinen, leichteres Trocknen, Agiler, verzeiht Böen besser, leichter Wasserstart, leicht Höhe fahren in Leichtwind etc.) Das Aluula Material ist der absolute Gamechanger durch das sehr leichte Material und höherer Steifigkeit der Struts. Somit haben Aluula Kites deutlich mehr Leistung als herkömmliche Kites aus Dacron Material.
Solch einen Entwicklungssprung bei Tube Kites mit Aluula Material gab es meiner Meinung nach seit dem Bow Tube Kites mit besserer Depower und Sicherheit durch Cabrinha im Jahr 2005 nicht mehr. Danke Ocean Rodeo ! Den Flite Aluula Tube Kite kann man bei böigen Leichtwind Bedingungen nur lieben! :o))

This weekend I was riding the Ocean Rodeo A-Series 2022 17m tube kite with 3 struts between 4 and 16 knots. I also rode 2 twintip boards (Core Fusion5 139cm and Core Fusion5 light wind 159cm).
The trip with the Ocean Rodeo Aluula Flite 17m was once again impressive. This kite has an enormous light wind performance and I was able to ride with the riders with foil boards on the Rangsdorfer See Lake in Brandenburg near Berlin. The other riders with traditional Dacron kites and Twintip boards were only able to ride in stronger gusts, while I was able to ride the Flite Aluula kite all the time, even in the weaker wind phases and going upwind. So in light wind conditions between 6 and 10 knots, you don’t have to take a foil board anymore and can continue to ride your beloved twintip boards.
The 17sqm Flite Tube kite is very agile (more like 14sqm) and due to its narrow front tube it goes very close to the edge of the wind window, so that you can ride high with a bigger twintip even in very light wind (about 6knots). With up to 9.5m high jumps with 5.1 seconds hangtime, I was also able to make nice jump landeloops (heli loops) :o) It was a lot of fun with the Rangsi-Foilboard-Kiters. :o)
With this kite, kiting in difficult gusty wind conditions inland is really fun and with the Ocean Rodeo Flite Aluula I have finally found a tube kite which can keep up in the light wind range with kite mats / foils from Flysurfer e.g. Soul or Sonic, Ozone e.g. Hyperlink and Gin e.b. The Aluula material is the absolute gamechanger due to the very light material and the higher stiffness of the struts. Aluula kites therefore have significantly more performance than conventional kites made of Dacron material.
In my opinion, there has not been such a leap forward in the development of tube kites with Aluula material since the Bow Tube Kites with better depower and safety by Cabrinha in 2005. Thank you Ocean Rodeo ! You can only love the Flite Aluula Tube Kite in gusty light wind conditions! :o))
